A digital social distanced fashion shows kicked in at the beginning of the fashion month of ready to wear clothing, the post quarantine season was very promising with some very optimistic, simple and chic collection because optimism is everything we need in these trying times the designers worked really hard to adapt to the new situation and give us hope for the future. Here we spot 6 main fashion trends for the season spring summer 2021

  1. Minimalism
  2. Monochromes and simple neat tailoring, cuts are very simple, almost no darts yet the silhouettes are very defined, no bows and ruffles like we used to in the previous few years, flat shoes and no makeup looks with pastel colors and black and white and fabrics such as chiffon, silk, satin, viscose and cotton. They can all get easily spotted from Jacquemus, Issey Miyake, Salvatore Ferragamo, Sportmax and No21


  3. Wide leg sporty pants
  4. Casual sweatpants were very attractive feature that was playing the role of the protagonist in shows of celine especially when styled with blazers and jackets with some mini bags made the looks very chic with an amazing comfy vibes.


  5. Crop tops
  6. One of the best collections for this season was Jacquemus's, featuring crop tops with different cuts varying from oversized, wide short sleeves in taffeta and satin in some very simple colors such as black, white, pale yellow, salmon pink and beige styled with low waist maxi skirts and flat shoes looked so abstract and neat.


  7. Crochet
  8. Not only made an appearance in some accessories and bags from Maison Margiella, Fendi and Bottega Veneta, the special craft is the discovery of this season, feautured in mini dresses in neon colors for bottega, some maxi flowery dresses for Zimmermann, in very bold sun inspired color palettes for Gabriella Hearst and of course Valentino who continued using it in his collections following the previous seasons.


  9. Lounge chic
  10. With the world moving forward into simplicity Georgio Armani gives us a very peaceful monotone silk suits, with some earth shades colors they looked fresh and suitable for everyday wear. Same applies for Fendi where Silvia Venturini created some very comfortable silhouettes that gives us the vibe of the clear blue sky and nature in her creative dyed chiffon pieces.


  11. Tie Dye
  12. Maria Grazia Chiuri's favorite type of dyes takes place into her new collection for the French house Dior, in grey, purple and green shades mixed sometimes with yellow in minimal cuts of maxi dresses, cardigans and kimonos with Dior's statement belted waist styled with denim and lace, it also featured in some other fashion shows such as Gabriella Hearst and sportmax in more saturated colors and transparent light fabrics.
