2020 is the year of Covid 19, the virus that has changed out daily routine entirely and forever and its effects reached everything including fashion, while 2020 finally came to an end by Joe Biden's winning the presendtial election we were expecting the inauguration ceremony at the beginning of the new year to finally watch how covid 19 would inspire fashion in big events as the effect of similar historical and life changing events usually shows in fashion in the following seasons we can now finally check designer's visions for the post quarantine seasons while they have been working on it from home instead of their grand offices at the major fashion houses.

One year and few months ago, if anyone would have told us that we would watch a presedential inauguration where everyone is covered with face masks and gloves we would have thought it is either a joke or a planned episode from the sci-fi famous series black mirror! But surprisingly it is out reality now, with an event that the entire humanity will forever remember how special it was especially with our archiving technologies and the existence of the internet, the new generation will watch and wonder how unique and different it was than the former similar ceremonies.

With the tightening of preventive isolation measures, travel bans, movement restrictions and work from home, our lifestyle has already become quieter, this virus has already forced the lifestyle to go simpler and free from the excess, from the consumerism culture that is deeply rooted in contemporary human behavior and this is clearly reflected in fashion.

Few days ago we have watched the inauguration ceremony of the new president elect Joe Biden and we can start noticing the direction of simplicity and minimalism through the costumes of the important visitors, the president's family and his Vice president elect Kamala Harris, with no exceptions they were the simple cuts, Monochrome palettes and less with the accessories and embroidery made an important and unique statement for this king of celebrations, most of the VIP guests also showed up wearing local American designers which was a great support for the national identity

At the beginning showed the wonderful Michelle obama former first lady wearing a plum colored suit by the black American designer Sergio Hudson with a simply tailored over coat, wide leg high waist pants and a turtle neck matched with a same color leather belt with a big gold circular buckle, this choice of style and color made her look breathtakingly beautiful. Moving to the vice president Kamala Harris who also wore a fellow African American designer Christopher Rogers, all monochromatic purple look from a midi coat, a matching dress with dark blue gloves and simple white pearled necklace, former first lady Hilarry Clinton accompanied her in the choice of the same brilliant color but with some ruffles on top.

Then came the new first lady Professor Jill Biden wearing a monochromatic blue Markarian ensemble also pearled on top with a touch of fur on the neck line and the sleeves and it also included the whole family as Finnegan Biden and Nathalie Biden looked absolutely outstanding, they are even the best looks in this event and their looks can inspire so many ladies for this season, the wool mid length oversized coat and the scarf made from the same fabric matched with the leather gloves and beige boots was amazing and her matching color mask was snatching all the attention over her and the all-beige from head to toe worn by Finnegan was definetly the best look.

Finally shows Naiomi Biden along with J LO wearing all white looks with the former wearing a white long wool oversized coat, a turtle neck and a very sophisticated mask, J Lo appeared in a ruffled high neck organza blouse, a wide leg trousers made from shiny sequin and a buttoned textured over coat made her performance even more charming and magical to successfully continue the trend.
